My paintings are derived from subjects that have inspired me throughout my life. I try to see and feel the true essence or intrinsic nature of my subjects before I paint them. I want to bring out the underlying manifestation and virtuous qualities of my subjects. Everything has a source of energy that will speak to you if you really listen. And that is what I try to do when I paint something. Many different people, places and things capture my inner being and impel me to create something special from them. I do this is through my artwork.
I realize that we all have different passions, that is what makes all of us so unique. For this reason, I choose to do commissioned paintings as well. All of us hold someone or something dear to our hearts, whether it be a family member or an extraordinary place.
