I would like to tell you a little about myself. I have been creating art from as far back as I can remember. I have been painting professionally for about seventeen years now. There are so many various aspects of art, but they all share a common unity, a universal language that speaks to all of us in different ways. I have found painting for me to be a wonderful way to express my feelings and emotions, to portray an opinion or to send a message. I feel like when I am creating a painting I am my purest self, the real me.
I graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (Cum Laude) in Art (Painting and Jewelry Design) and Art History in 1992. In addition, I also hold a Teaching License for Art (K-12) from the University of NC. I've traveled throughout Europe studying painting, sculpture, architecture and art history. I am fascinated by many styles of art but am drawn to impressionism. I have done several series of paintings in realism, abstract, abstract impressionism and impressionism. I love working with the beautiful colors of nature and the play on light and reflection. My work is original and created from photographs and memory.
Thank you for visiting my website. Please contact me if you are interested in any of my paintings for sale. I will set it up with my paypal account for a safe and secure transaction. If you would like to commission me to create a portrait and/or painting from one of your favorite photographs please let me know and I will be happy to do so.
Warmly,
Yvette Venturo Granski
